  • The sinking log

#1 - This log is a perch for many of the ducks at the lake and last week it was on the beach. Many mm of rain in the last few days has seen it suddenly sink and only leave a small area for the ducks to rest ans preen.

#2 - The ducks are back in large numbers and it's great to see. Last weekend there were about 4 stilts and 2 Pacific Blacks here. Where there's water, there's food I guess. These guys are just waiting for their turn on the log.

    G'day mate

I like #1 for its simplicity and reflections - and it sort-of reminds me of other pics where the log is a croc lazing in the creek waters!

Cheers Phil. when I was in Cairns I once went on a boat tour in croc infested waters. People yelled out "there's a croc" and the tour guide would quickly point out that it was a log-a-dile and not a croc.
