    More birds at the lake.

#1 - Buff Banded Rail. First time I have ever seen one of these. They are widespread in mainland Australia, particularly along the eastern coast and islands, Norfolk and Lord Howe Islands. It is also found in south-east Asia, New Guinea and New Zealand.

#5 - Red Wattle bird from a different angle. I do like the wing patterns.

My memory's not as sharp as it used to be.

    Missed this one somehow.

Good shot of the Buff-banded Rail Isac. I've only ever seen one and it was against the light with some leaves in the way.

I like #3. It looks like a difficult shot, with the movement and the surrounding foliage.

#2 and #4 look well exposed and sharp but are let down a bit by the angle. If only the birds would be more considerate. :-)

Cheers Alan. The buffy was only noticed when I opened the images on the PC and it took me by surprise. The birds do like to get up high in these tall trees here so unfortunately that's what I'm stuck with for angles. #3 - I should have removed the BG but was a bit lazy on that.

    G'day mate

As Alan mentions, they might have their "less than perfect" issues - but they are all fine shots of our feathered friends
Put 'em into the 'keepers' folder

Thanks Phil. My keepers folder is getting quite large and like my workshop could do with a bit of a clean out!
Working...
