  • A better collection from this morning

I had a wander around Eagleby Wetlands this morning and saw more birds than in the last few visits and managed to get a few.

    1. Fairy-wren, Superb I think. Not sure if the tail is missing or just at the wrong angle

Thanks Kevin. It’s worth the effort in getting out. I almost always get something, and if I don’t, being out in nature always gives my mood a lift.

    G'day Alan

I am damned if I know how you get such wonderful images !! - any time that I go out to look for birds they flutter away and that's the end of it
Either that, or they are so far up the tree that all I see is their bums

Thanks Phil. They mostly fly away for me too. This was an unusually good day with many birds around. The kingfisher was really too far away and this is the last shot I got before it flew off as I moved closer.

I could hear the pardalotes but couldn’t see them at first, but just stood quietly for 30 minutes or so to get these shots.

Before I got these, I saw, but couldn’t get rufous fantail, red-browed finches, drongo, lewin’s honeyeater, grey fantail, chestnut-breasted manikin, friarbird, brown honeyeater, and some others I couldn’t identify.

These are up to your usual extremely high standard Alan. Lovely framing, detail and colours. You're getting better

I always give credit where it's due Alan and it's well deserved here with these lovely shots.
