  • Backyard Birds (6)

    G'day all

DIfferent farm from last week - thus different backyard tho birds are much the same. I spotted this fella roosting closeby and dive-bombing onto small things in the grass, then returning to the lookout post

#2 for me Phil. Perfect light falling on the bird, highlighting the eye and allowing better detail in general. Nice portrait cropping, but #2 needs a bit more "+" space to the right. Just me - others may see it differently.

#2 for me too Phil. All look sharp with nice light and exposure and good clean backgrounds. A bit more space in front of the bird in #2 would improve it, but it's ok as it is. I think these would all have benefited from a lower viewpoint so you are at the birds level rather than looking down on them. A nice set.

        Thanks fellas

I had little choice with anything here - it was using the light as a lookout post and coming and going ... and I was in the drivers seat shooting out the open window
As a wild bird, I knew / felt that if I showed myself it would be off, never to be seen again (sort of thing)

re- cropping - uncropping, that can be managed !!
