    G'day all

Been pretty quiet for birds the last day or so, but I did manage to capture images of these wanderers

    1)- common ducks

    exif- Panny FZ-300; 1/640s x F4,0; ISO-100; lens at max zoom / 600mm FFequiv + 50% cropping

2)- common Magpie (in heavy shade)

    exif- Panny FZ-300; 1/160s x F2,8; ISO-100; lens at max zoom / 600mm FFequiv + 25% cropping

    As always, feedback welcome

    Phil

They look nice and sharp Phil. I would probably crop from the right hand side on the ducks. The magpie looks to have a bit of a colour cast and perhaps could do with a lift in contrast - probably due to the heavy shade, although I could be totally wrong here. Not sure how you could increase contrast without crushing the blacks. A handsome bird though.

Are the Wood Ducks going down hill or were pre-dinner drinks kicking in? Just me but I'd straighten using the grass patterns and crop to have more "+" space and only a small "-" space.
The maggie has a nice "Is this my best side" pose. Definitely needs colour correcting as Alan said. Here's my fix.

Thanks fellas for both suggestions - I will do some rectification ...... and yes, the ducks were going downhill-and- the maggie was in very heavy shade & it was a grab shot too

Now that you've explained the circumstances to we who were not there, I retract my inference to your leaning to the right

        G'day all

Following up several suggestions above - here's "take-2"

        a) the magpie .... pp is 5% addtion of red to WB + crop as 16 x 9

        b) ducks .... pp is fixing horizontal + crop to 16 x 9

ps- although the original reflects the true ground slope

        Thanks fellas
        Phil

Nice PP on both Phil. I did have an inkling that it was a downhill race
