  • Rainbow Bee-eater

This one is from Eagleby Wetlands last year. It actually stopped on a branch in the light, and clear of any annoying twigs and branches. Then waited for me to get a couple of shots.

Fantastic image there Alan, I like everything about it.
I have managed to capture an image of a Rainbow Bee-eater in Victoria, but they are nowhere near as colourful as yours up north.

Yes, lovely image Alan. Looks a good pro shot. Often, I like the backs of some birds because of their patterns and colours and this fits that bill. The head peering back is a bonus and shows the colours well. Great presentation and framing. I'm in 2 minds about the spider web

Thanks Isac. Backs can be attractive, but you almost always want the eye. I thought about the spider web but decided to leave it. I may yet remove it.

    Perfect. What a lovely bird.
Better a full bottle in front of me

    G'day mate

A much better / more spectacular image than I have got ...... and I thought mine was okay!!
As per comment/s above ... I think I would zap the web trail as once seen - my eye goes back again and again
