I took quite a few images of this fellow, however he did not want to co-operate.

#1 This is probably the best one, even though I've cropped the end off his tail.

I would agree that #1 is the best of these two. It’s annoying when you find you’ve cut a bit off on an otherwise good photo.

Yeah, I should have backed off the zoom a tad.

Another shot of the crested pigeon. I wasn't too sure if it would be worth persevering with this image as the light is very unkind.

I like the pose of this too John. Seems to be asking "Well, are you coming or not?". It's only minor but I'd remove the groove in the lower concrete path. TJM. I think curves and hue/sat to lift the bird is all it needs.

They are a pretty bird John but overlooked by togs because they are as common as mud. You caught a nice pose in #1 and it looks close to you as well - that gives more scope to get the good details as you have here. My only CC would be to lift the shadows on the bird only using a Curves Mask, push the Hue/Sat up a bit to make those colours pop and of course put its tail back on

My memory's not as sharp as it used to be.

I was going to be a smartie and say it was just out of frame, but I won'r. Found on the web!! It's not stealing in my book, it's just a small piece. I did do a reconstruction to start and it was good but the "borrowed" piece looked slightly better. Having the pen/tablet is cool for doing reco work, especially adding dogs and cats whiskers or animal fur and hair. You can get the brush down to 1 pixel for drawing so it's very easy to do.
