Some birds from Tygum Park, Waterford West.

i had a good morning at one of the nearby lakes this morning. Here are a couple of the birds.

This egret was sitting on the rail of a pedestrian bridge and would fly off each time someone walked past, then return. There were plenty of walkers around so it kept pretty busy, and just kept going back.

1. Eastern Great Egret. Nikon D800, Nikon 500mm PF f/5.6, 1/2000 f/8 ISO 360


This Darter was sitting right beside the path and didn't seem concerned about the people passing less than a metre away.

Some great images there Alan. That Eastern Great Egret was very obliging going back to the same spot and allowing you to get your settings spot on.

Thanks Phil. It does make it easier when you can walk right up to them and they don't budge. I had to step back as I was too close for the lens to focus.
