    This young one was all alone on a huge patch of grass and flew up onto a fence post when he saw me approaching.

    Must make a resolution to plant bird atracting shrubs when i start gardening out the back. I suppose I have started by poisening the fig tree. I didn't want more crows as they ate the figs as soon as it looked like they were going to be ready to eat soon. Magpies are ok!

        nice captures. first one is the most dramatic and has good wing position. wishing for some more head turn towards the camera.
        close up seems to be a fair crop. is it?
        looks to have nictating membrane over half the eye or at least something funky there.

        looks like you had the light for them though

          Thanks Stephen. I only got the one shot with the wing action. Plenty after that when he sat on the post. Maybe this is a better one.
