The birds have such an intelligent look. Though the lorekeets look a little washed out? The Galah is my favourite.

Yes. Birds are definately better defined.

OK. I'll leave it to you to point me in the right direction or give me your ideas as to how to "do them better" I'm always keen to learn from our senior citizens

Can saturate the colour a bit on top of the applied muliplication blend an contrast increase with curves.
Can't see to compare but is the light comming from different directions?

Thanks for that Hans, nice work. I think the backdrop needs to be blurred a bit so I decided to replace it (below).

This is the original OOC image, so I had to do a lot of work on it. The background was way over exposed, so I took that on as a challenge.

Canon EOS 7D Mark II / 1/500 sec / f/8 / ISO 1000 / Aperture priority / Spot Metering / 400 mm / TAMRON 18-400mm F/3.5-6.3


Replaced the background.

haha You would have seen that with the RF lens setup on the R model and dialed in compensation via a ring on the lens if you had so set up the camera.
I was right with the light being different in the background.
I was also right about you being able to do better.

Oh Ta Hans, I am humbled. I will never afford the new R models so the 7D2 will have to do. By the time I saw the image on the screen, the birds had left the scene!

Nice little group,looking at the original of #4,I`d consign it to the trash can,I don`t think it can be saved.

Totally up to you,the edited version doesn`t look right on my screen and with the abundance of Lori`s around,I`d just take another.

the lorikeets looks funky somehow on all the versions. 2nd singing honey eater may benefit from cropping closer even as a vertical imho. either way the bright stuff in background needs to go somehow.

Cheers Stephen. I was going to replace the blurred section in the right bottom but thought it wasn't too bad so I left it natural.
