Although I think I have correctly identified the duck in question I'd just like a confirmation.
Terrible IQ as these were taken with the Siggy 70-200 with a 2x tele fitted. Hence the reason for investing in the 150-600.

#1 Pacific Black, Grey Teal and what I think is a Chestnut Teal.

Correct on all 3 John - well done. The Chestnut is a male. The female (as in most species) is rather plane looking. Similar feathers as a Pacific Black and the head like a Grey Teal.

I think you'll find it's a Female Chestnut Teal and not a Grey Teal.
Chestnut Teals are so good looking.

Thanks for the info Mark, at least I got the breed correct.

I just reread you post Mark and I'm a tad confused as to which bird you are referring to.

The Chestnut and Grey teal are very similar looking John. They both have a similar feather pattern and the green and white under wing as well. they both have the red eye too. If they were hanging around together it probably is the female chestnut, so I apologise for my bad eyesight
