Cheers Stephen. I'm fascinated with the pink-eared ducks (sometimes called the Zebra Duck). They are dependent on plankton, as well as crustaceans, mollusks and insects. Their bill can strain minute organisms and it channels the water allowing them to filter algae and other plankton efficiently. They also feed by vortexing, in which two ducks spin about a central point with the head of one opposite the tail of the other, concentrating food in a gyrating water column. Weird but fabulous to watch them.

I will hold off posting beautiful photos of lovely ducks and birds all swimming around with joyous looks of satisfaction on there faces, until yours have returned John. Anything to help out a mate who is feeling a bit down
