this was from the only relatively smoke free day we have had here recently due to surrounding fires.
we still not going far from the house just in case etc. hopefully we can get back to normal soon.
so I am continuing to milk the branches around the birdbath. is certainly not a bad spot if the birds cooperate. been yielding decent rosella pix, magpies, currawongs and assorted other stuff. lots fly off when you try to get pix, but sometimes you can get pix.

Not up to your usual standard Stephen! It's a lot better IMHO. Did you think about removing the shadow from the tail?

thanks folks. milking opportunities at the bird bath is offering up some decent opportunities.
late afternoon light and the natural bokeh of the lens does most of the work too.
glad the fire directly threatening us has been sorted now but the remaining smoke means we still hanging around the house yet, but at least there are options for pix. so many poor families did not get the luxury of having their house intact to hang around. so dry around here at the moment and no feed around. we now have a mob of goats making short work of the small hedge we have near the house. (even an electric fence didnt stop them somehow.

I'm glad you guys are safe and survived the most horrible and destructive thing that could ever happen. Best wishes to you and your families.
