Thanks Phil. Most of the shots at the lake are at full zoom of 400mm so I'm very impressed with the IQ. Most of my zooms don't seem to measure up IQ wise but this one gives good results throughout the entire range.

Nice collection. Find #5 interesting looking at the focus. The grass seems to be ok next to the front duck much more so than the duck itself.
Better a full bottle in front of me
      than a full frontal lobotomy.

Thanks Kevin. I think they make for pretty good photos so I await you duck posts.

Cheers Hans. I added the Exif Data to #5 FYI. The front duck was a bit closer than the second duck, so that might explain it.

nice collection. thinking the light may have been a tad harsh and not coming from favourable directions. little pied cormy is my fav of these. heron probably needed more eye contact. bit of shadow/highlight on the first black duck would likely lift that too. maybe similar to the woody and shellduck around the face?

Thanks for the CC Stephen. All good and taken on board. I find that with the herons, they look awful when they are looking at you. I have several and their heads are so small front on, they look funny to me.

Hi Isac, dont mean front on, cos you are right they look silly front on.
I meant fully sideways or slightly towards the camera. as posted it looks slightly away to me

You're right Stephen. Unfortunately the heron was not in the mood to pose for though.
