  • Osprey arriving back home

    G'day all

On my pre-brekky morning walk today I went past one of the Osprey nests around the town and noted that the residual bird was looking to the sky and making low-screeching (keening?) noises .... and a moment or three later the mate arrived and landed. I got some beautiful wing patterns etc. but this one appeals most

Great image Phil. Too bad the one in the nest had it's head turned away.

Yeah well I spoze it was looking up at its mate and grumbling "about time ya got home, I've been waitin' so long ya dinner's gone cold"

Both great shots Phil. Lovely contrast with the sky and beautiful light showing plenty of colour and detail on the birds. Suggestion, maybe combine the two like this.

fortunate having them around where you are.. wing spread action always improves things. I think the combined image shows them off the best too.
        good work
