  • Strange behaviour

As I walked in to the bird enclosure at Hartley's Creek I noticed this bird that seemed to be under some stress.

I thought that it may be injured until I noticed this guy giving it the evil eye.

They stayed like this for the whole time I was in the enclosure. Not the best image as they blend in very well with the ground cover. Not up to the standard of Stephen's Wedgie and Magpie images, but interesting all the same.
    F4.0, 1/2500, ISO 400. Siggy 24-105 @ 35mm.

Interesting, the "Bully" bird looks like the one that visits my neighbours yard, but it`s very timid, maybe a breeding season, territory thing.Nice catch though, sharp and the light is great.
    C+C,EDITS OK
I shoot a Canon 90D with a few bits of glass.

The bully bird is a Bushstone Curlew. The other looks like a Boobook Owl (if that's what it is). It looks to have a damaged wing. It's not a normal posture.

I think you may be correct on both counts Isac, The left wing does not look right (no pun intended), and according to my newly found bird app it does look like a Southern Boobook (Ninox Ninox).
