Cheers Todd. They are a beautiful little bird, we have them here every morning at the moment.

Looks like a scruffy skalywag I like the personality it implies. The Kingfisher looks like he is dressed for a slightly more formal occasion. Only negative thing I would have is that they are on a wire instead of a branch.
Better a full bottle in front of me
    than a full frontal lobotomy.

I chose that one over this slightly less scruffy pose, because I think it portrayed a bit more character.

Great set of images Brad, whether sitting on a wire or a branch they are lovely captures. I only hope that I can get images this good from my new Siggy 150-600.
Great to see you posting again, how's the arm?

Lovely pictures. That dark background really sets off the Kingfisher.

Good to see you here Ironwood. Those pics are a pleasure to see as well. That last one with the dark BG is a standout image, well captured.

My memory's not as sharp as it used to be.

              Thanks John.
By all reports the Sigma 150-600's are great performers, so should give great results with that new 7D, which did you opt for, the "C" or the Sports ? I'm assuming the C, because the Sport model weighs a tonne.
The arm is doing well, I spent an hour every 2nd day in the gym for 3 months.

Cheers Stephen. It's not often I get lucky with the light at my place, so many trees so much shade. Nice to get them in decent light for a change.
I'll take a bird on a wire over no bird anytime, especially when when the light is right.

                Cheers, Brad.

You certainly have a better variety of visitors to your place compared to my sparrows and pigeons (()) Nice to see. Cheers.
