  • Wood Ducks

First time I have seen these Ducks on my place, I was walking down to the shed to get some more beers, and I spotted them down by the creek.
Had to go back to the house and get the camera gear. Hopefully they will nest here.
Taken with the better beamer/flash because of the late afternoon shade.

Nice and sharp brad. The flash seems to have created a bit of an eye glow. Not sure if you can fix that up.

Cheers Todd. I like what the flash does for me, except for what it does to most eyes. I ussually fix it up in PP if it is bad, but was a bit pressed for time and just posted them as is.
If I get some spare time later, I will fix them and repost to compare with the original ones.
      Cheers, Brad.

Nice shots Ironwood. I love the characters. We have plenty around our lake. They always strut around with their heads up high and look so dainty and refined. I just love them. Looking forward to the eye fixes (they have dark brown eyes). FYI, the male has the dark head.

My memory's not as sharp as it used to be.

Thanks Isac. I think these are our prettiest/handsomest duck, it’s always great to see them.
          Cheers, Brad.
