    Got to agree with the feathers letting the sunshine through wigz. It's a BIF and you've done well.

    A wonderful image that resonates with me ... love the detail in the feathers & the small detail of the eye as well - rather than if the head was turned to the right
    Q- how much lens did you have in use? [no exif visible in image]

      Thanks Phil. 420 mm (300 + 1.4 TC) , but also cropped quite a bit
