      Excellent shot Greg, good pose and nice and sharp. On first glance, the colour didn't look quite right but on a closer look it seems OK. Perhaps the contrast is a bit high or the bright background is throwing me off,.

      I tried reducing the contrast a little. What do you think?

        That looks ok too. I think the reason my original looks a bit different to what you might expect is because the bird is wet. It had just jumped out of my hanging bird feeder. I'll just follow up with a shot of that and you can better see the environment.

        Yes that explains why I thought it didn't look quite right to me. It's a top shot.

      As you can see the surrounding foliage is also pretty bright.

        Lovely portrait of the tiny bird Greg. It's an image you could play with and change things up for different effects and that's a good thing.
