This one is a bit busy but this is from my only series of this species, taken as they were feeding in a paperbark beside the lagoon. It's quite a heavy crop.

Looks sharp enough for a crop Alan. Busy but I don't necessarily mind that. The speckled light is more off puting. Hald the head is shaded.

Not too bad Alan, they frequent my garden when the fruit and berries are ripe but are pretty scarce at the moment. Perhaps they are holidaying in Queensland?

I'm fortunate to have some cracker shots of them!

Never seen one so thanks for sharing wigz. It just shows it busy at work in it's normal cluttered surroundings so That's OK with me.

Thanks Stephen. I thought that area was sharp in the original. If so it should be sharp after resizing and sharpening for the forum, but my eyes aren't what they used to be. I'll have another look.

You have a good eye Stephen. The sharpness does fall of a little in front of the eye. I might have backed off the sharpening to control noise.

thanks mate, perhaps some selective sharpening on eye?
as for my eye, I like to go over images closely, try to get the eye critically sharp cos you can cop a bit off elsewhere but not the eye, or I could just be a picky old bastard.
