Red-backed Fairy-wren

Seen at Eagleby this morning. The male stayed in the one spot, preening, for a while so I have quite a few shots to work through.

Nice looking bird, I wonder what a cross between one of those and a Flame Robin would look like?

I've not seen a Red-back Wren here.

I find it difficult to get a black bird without looking noisy. You've done pretty well here but #2 my fav.

Thanks all for your comments. There is noise in the image of the male but noise reduction reduced it.

Both lovely images Alan. Do you see many of these down your way ?
I spotted and photographed one of these little birds for the first time late last year at the Mackay Botanical Gardens. I only saw the male, no female, he was really going at it in full song.

Thanks Brad. I see them fairly regularly but not nearly as often as the Superb Fairy-wren, which is often seen in some suburbs around here. I'm rarely able to get photos though.
