  • Magpie Geese and Chicks

    Or is that goslings.

    I went down to Eagleby Wetlands this morning and found that the Magpie Geese had hatched their eggs. I managed to get a few shots before they disappeared into the vegetation. I wasn't hopeful of seeing them as I believe they leave the nest soon after hatching. Also the references I checked state that two females will often share a nest.

    Beautiful captures wigz. Showing off nature at it's best. Very large family and I hope their survival rate is good.
