  • A bird in the frame is better than one that got away

    G'day all

Sitting in the yard this morning, I was 'awoken' by raucous squawking coming from a tree next door - to see a flock of galahs fighting over the tree tops and presumably, new shoots & seeds

Here's a couple of my shots
exif for all pics - Panny FZ-200 [again]; 1/1600s x F4,0; lens at 24x zoom [625mm film camera equiv]; ISO-100

    1) "Look out you lot - move over"

    2) "Hey - there's space for me too"

    3) "I'm a bit late I'm but here now"

    As always, feedback welcome
    Phil

Nicely done Phil, Good camera settings to catch the action. Lovely photos (and descriptions).

Thanks fellas - and yes, they are noisy when they get going!

Excellent shots. I find a group more difficult than a single bird. Nice light through the feathers in #2 and #3. All might be improved if you could brighten the front of the birds just a little.
