Thanks Phil. This swan family (Mum, Dad and 3 kids) are the only resident swans we have here so I reckon they get to pose for lots of togs and quite often.
Here you go Charles 4 different straightens for you .
#1 Top of box made horizontal.
#2 Left side of box made vertical.
#3 Left side of post made vertical.
#4 Right side of post made vertical.
While doing this experiment I noticed some pretty extreme chromatic abberation at the bottom left of the post. Was the lens wide open when you took this image Isac?
The lens was at max 400mm but I usually get rid of any CA It's never usually bad and on this one I didn't notice it. I'll keep an eye it for next time.
Sometimes I get a little distracted and don't notice the number of posts, but I'm sure management will get time to check on these milestones soon. I can see the big 500 is a little overdue, but good things come to those wait
For those who were horrified at seeing the shocking horizontal and vertical mismanagement of the #1 image I posted of the 2 Galahs in and on a breeding box, I am re-posting the corrected image with guides to the areas which needed the most attention. I thank all those who were most vocal at pointing out the extremely grave errors which should have been noticed and corrected prior to posting the image. I hope you can forgive me and I can assure you that I have seen the error in my ways and learned a valuable lesson in going forward in my quest to become a better photographer and Photoshop guru.
The Galahs were ecstatically excited to know they now have a perfectly balanced and symmetrical home to breed in.
#1 - Corrected all major horizontal and vertical planes as noted by the experts. Some minor parts were omitted because of their insignificance.
#2 - Added guide lines to show the corrections (edits) for those who would like to know where the edits took place within the image.
Thanks for the comments wigz. The pole didn't bother me either but we are all different in what we see and others have more spare time to run a critical eye over one's posts
