  • Nesting Magpie Geese

I haven't been able to do much photography for quite a while as my wife is not well, but have recently managed to get out occasionally.

I came across this pair of Magpie Geese at Eagleby Wetlands near Brisbane. While I see a few of these birds around here I haven't seen a nest before. I'm hoping to get more shots over the coming weeks.

Both birds at nest. Female in front, I think.

Sorry to hear of your wife's ill health. Photography, or any other hobby takes a back seat where family is concerned
You've done well Alan, my bird photography leaves a lot to be desired. It would be great to get some images of any chicks as they mature.

They do blend in don't they. Good find Wigz, I'm sure you'll get some good opportunities to catch up as the brooding goes on.

Sorry to hear that your wife is not well.

Thanks John and Greg. I'm hoping to get some photos of chicks, but a lot of vegetation in the water here for them to hide in. The high bank makes it difficult to get a clear background on the nest as well.

Great to see you here Alan. I hope your wife gets well soon. Good catch to get these birds, I've never seen them before. Nice to get a few more like Greg says as time goes on.

Great to see you back Alan, and with some really interesting shots.

I look forward to more images from these characters.

Sorry to hear about your wife's poor health. Hope she recovers real soon.

My indecision is final, I think.
