        Cheers Greg. From my campsite I spotted the cockatoos coming down for a drink in the late afternoon so the next day I positioned my self behind a small sapling and waited for them to turn up. This was the only branch within range and only this one perched on it. Birding can be frustrating at times because this approach is time consuming and doesn't always produce results.

        But turn up they did and just in time for a couple of quick frames before the light was gone. Wish this happened every time.

        But then that would remove the challenge and where's the fun in that

          It's a shame they are so elusive in the scrub. I have a friend in a Suburb of Sydney that has them coming inside. You have captured them nicely though.
          Better a full bottle in front of me
          than a full frontal lobotomy.
