I noticed a flock of these birds at a Rest Stop on the way up, but didn't manage to get a decent photo, so I called in again on the way back and managed one I was happy with (out of too many to mention) and with the Tamron 16-300 mm!

I also had a Dingo for company



D7000 @135mm. f/11 1/2000 1000 ISO. Cropped and cloned out some leaves.

Great shot Alan. Got to be happy with that. Dingoes are very intriguing and they are very shy but inquisitive. We have pure bred dingoes at Kaarakin and they are just wonderful, especially the Alpines. They are walked every day and sometimes come for a visit to the office to get a special treat.
