  • Black-faced Cuckoo Shrike

Could hear what sounded like young black-faced cuckoo shrikes calling to their mum yesterday afternoon so went out in the street to look for them. Then I noticed the shadow of birds flying overhead towards our park so went back there and finally found a young one flying around. Mum later came to feed it. There were two others flying around high in the tree tops too. Taken with my Nikon D7100 and the 300-500mm lens.

Good work tracking them down. The angle of the light hasn't been kind to you here though.

No, lighting was difficult and lots of trees in the way. But was pleased I got them.

Not birds that take kindly to being followed. Nice stealth work Kathie.
