Phones seem to be able to handle these extremes better than the cameras.

It continues to impress me - it's all I take on my beach walks now

Lovely image Alan. Phones are very clever these days.

I was thinking the same as Hans. How can you photograph into the sun a comparably small object. Impressive.

Impressive for sure, I don't think my Nikon would have handled it near that good.
        Cheers, Brad.

You did a fine job post processing. Love the colour enhancement, crop and rays.
I have no idea how you got rid of the purple bit so smoothly against gradual transitioning blues.
            Smooth work Alan.

Maybe "Content Aware" tool in PS? That's what I would have used - works like magic!

Correct Greg, just one click and it's gone - gotta love PS for stuff like that

Using my old PS.. no such thing as content aware.

Jo, try AFFINITY PHOTO (Windows and MAC). $62.99 and a brilliant Photoshop alternative, has a tool for removing unwanted objects called content-aware Inpainting Brush which removes objects like magic. Try before you buy, I think this is a real alternative. Nothing to lose, here's the features.

Thanks for that Isac. Lucky I came back in here for a look or would have missed your suggestion.
Would be great to have a real alternative you Photoshop.
I used to use ULead and had a dummy spit when I lost the program and had to use PS. It was so much more intuitive.
