    White winged Chough

    Corcorax melanorhamphos - Wamboin, NSW

From about 4/5 years ago. Not sure if I have posted it before, but I gave it a bit of a tidy up and removed a twig.

nice pose, composition, light and background. Excellent shot. Could the bird be a bit light - I recall them being black while this looks a bit grey. I've come across these often when travelling but have never managed a clear shot.

Thanks Alan. I can't remember if the grey was the colour of the bird - maybe a youngster or how the light struck the feathers? The head is quite black.

I just burnt the shadows a bit here to try to balance the blacks.

I had a small flock that visited my Wamboin property regularly and they tolerated me following around. I must dig out a couple more photos

Now who's the master of bokeh?
            Love everything about this.
I also thought it might be a young bird. Has nice looking feet and hints of new feathers.
