That tree again, trying to germinate some seeds here right now, probably ready In 50 years or so........reckon the bright oof stuff pulls the eye, especially the close to the face ones, well worth cloning cos then you left with a nicely backlit bird. 2nd one no such issue. I think the greens in the first would be my fave. Better with the bright stuff gone though. Good work

      Thanks Stephen

I quite liked the repetitiveness of the the oof bright circles and how it drew even more attention to the eyes - but point taken - simplify, thanks.

      Cheers

Bare in mind, that was only my opinion. But now the eyes are the subject

Thanks again Stephen for taking the time to comment and voice an opinion

is what I do Alan, sadly some are offended. the question is: now that the bright bit has gone hear the birds' head, do you think the image is stronger?

I think it has lost a bit of punch.

I liked the bokeh and the 'spotlight' effect. But I'm glad you suggested the edit - I should have tried it myself first as it is an obvious one.

But it would be a boring old world if everyone thought the same thing

It would be nice to get a few more opinions.

              Cheers

Hi Alan, I agree with Stephen that the second version of the first image is stronger with the eyes more obvious, although I can see your point about the light circles. Are the bright circles the reason for the space on the left?

I do like the second image.

Thanks Alan - yes, I did like the light circles. I seem to find myself often opting for the different.
