Rainbow Bee-eaters

We just had a few days in Bundjalung National Park in Northern NSW. On one of the walks I found many Rainbow Bee-eaters (Merops ornatus) busy catching insects. I have a lot of shots to sort through.

I may end up doing some further cloning and cropping but this will do for now.


Nikon D800, Sigma 120-300 f/2.8 + 2x TC @ 600mm. 1/1250 @ f/8 ISO 500.

Beautiful birds. Nice picture. Been past there on quite a few occasions never even knew there was a NP there, see the sign little Italy though.. Obviously switched off for long drive.

2 nice bee eaters. think the perch and angle tends to overpower this shot, but I know you know that. better to have a bee eater pic than not
