    D7000 300mm x1.7TC tripod through glass. f/7.1 1/125 1600 ISO +1EV The afternoon back light was horrible

        Very nice indeed. Love the perch and the red eye really pops..in the right place and way.
        Gives a terrific comparison between parent and fledgling too.
        You have softened the background really nicely but I think I'd be tempted to try to cover the roof outline... somehow just to give it a more caught in natural environment feel.

          Thanks everyone.

          Hans, someone did ask me to make a book with bird photos as a gift some time ago, but I forgot about it until you mentioned it.

          Good point Jo, I did start on reducing the impact of the house, but got fed up with editing this image late last night. Me slack..

          I didn't soften the b/g, it just came out that way.

          How's this?
