Little egret

I've been sick this week and off work. There was some concern I may have had whooping cough (been a few kids in my class diagnosed) but it was a viral infection.
Hence spring competition from the back and front yard.
Anyway... 5 days on the couch with an occasional mope outside was driving me crazy; so went for a little outing to a reserve. This shot I liked enough to share.
Bright and windy conditions. Edit.. the green string on the birds feet is just algae. Took a series of shots and it is only about as long as you see in the image short and slides away. :-)

Thanks Sully... I am not very good at being sick.. heaven help anyone near me if I ever do actually have something really wrong beyond the flu!

They are a beautiful bird to photograph Phoenix. No exception here, everything is great - algae and all. I love the little water drops coming off the legs and feet.

Appreciate the comment and kind feedback Isac. I took a photo of the hair algae today... don't think it's pretty enough to post without it handing off a flying egret though.. ;-)
