Love the colours of the parrot. The Moorhen is quite a character. The Grebe is cute. Lovely images Isac

Thanks Barb, Mick and Greg. I really love this place. Great variety of bird life and a peaceful place to wander around. Greg, this is closest that a Grebe has ever come to me - They are very shy.. I guess it didn't see me there on the bank, I was dressed in black, which I think is the best garb to be in. They probably think it's a majestic black swan sunning itself on the grass

Love the grebe but the pose and eye contact makes thePurple Swamphen. my fave here. You should be more than happy with them.
The shoveler also starts with australasian.

Thanks for your comments Mark. I knew the shoveler should be Australasian but I guess at my age I'm allowed a few boo-boos Thanks for your sharp eye and it's great to know others read what's in the posts. Cheers.

Some great shots there Isac. #2 is my favourite out of the bunch.

Interesting that you mention the black clothes, I have noticed lately that if I wear one of my old dark green workshirts when I go for a walk along the creek, the wildlife seems to take less notice of me than when I wear one of the newer light blue shirts.
            Cheers, Brad.

Thank you Ironwood. I reckon if we were dark clothes, we probably look less threatening. I was quite surprised when the Grebe came up close - they're usually pretty skittish.

Lovely series Isac. Could not be better, even if you had $8000 lenses and cameras!(I don't think you do!)

My indecision is final, I think.

Gracious of you to comment Charles. If I could afford to buy cameras and lenses at those ridiculous prices I would probably not be here - but be yachting my way to exotic locations taking photos for National Geographic!

            Lovely variety Greg.

Moorhen would be my favourite - interesting composition. (looks a bit bright on my screens?)

Shoveler might be a bit central?

I've never managed to get that close to a Grebe - well done

I might have to become 'the man in black' again

            Cheers

Thank you Alan. The histogram is showing a slight peak to the right so it may be a tad bright. I'll have to watch that. Silly me for putting the shoveler in the middle!! I think you would look rather dapper in black. I've never shot a moorhen in that pose before, so it's a keeper for me.
