Nice photo HansE. Beautiful markings on the Heron. A little loss of detail on the beak and crown though not a distraction for me.

Agree - what a beautiful bird. Eye contact and sharper head/eyes and a lower pov would improve it.

Problem is he wouldn't do what I was telling him. Never stood still wouldn't look at me and shot through.

He is handsome with those markings...reminds me of the Pacific Heron. Great details on the wing feathers.

I think it is a "Great Blue Heron" But I am going by other pictures not real knowledge. He/she impressed me with its majestic looks.
