  • Wonderful nest

This morning I came across White-throated Gerygones going to and from a nest feeding chicks. Never seen these birds before, they had a lovely voice.
Wow, can i get photos of them feeding the chicks? Nope. The cover thingy over the entrance of the nest means that won't happen.
Still it was interesting to get a bit of the adults feeding their chicks in that wonderful looking nest.
    Let's hope uploading works.

Fabulous catch Mark. Well done pretty sharp and good colours. I did a quick edit of your post to to push your Flickr details under the images. Are you going to use Flickr to post your images from now on? Have you gone this way to solve the Exif Data problem?

My memory's not as sharp as it used to be.

      Question #1, I don't know.
Question #2, just checking it out. At this stage am not going to change my PPing workflow just so that ExIF data doesn't show in a strange way here.
I play in another Oz photo forum (no not that other place ) and have thought about linking larger files there via Flickr . So I haven't gone with the large files yet (on Flickr) but thought I'd start to learn what linking via Flickr did here

What a different nest - a door to give privacy for the chicks and I guess would protect them from predators to a certain extent also. Wonderful capture Mark.

      A door and roof.
Sent these to someone I know that's been birding for thirty years and he reckons his never seen a gerygone nest before. Smile

Went back today and got an interesting series of photos. Will post them late next week (there's a reason for the delay but you will enjoy).
