  • Some from today

Had to get some new photos to try another way of uploading to this site.
    Nothing special but,..
The tittle of the first could be "Bloody stick".
No my version of PS doesn't have content aware and no it's not worth the time it would take me to clone it out.
So here we go, if it works I try and stop posting for a few days and hope others post some more. Click image for larger version

Uploaded via the A for advanced this time (as suggested by someone) and it still sticks that ExIF data in between the photos. mmmm, hope you find the photos a bit more interesting than the data.(look, more data appear after I added this edit!!)

The lovely colours of the Crimson stand out well still. Bloody grass in #2. (I have a heap where I got down to the Oyster Catchers' level and didn't even notice the grass until I had them on the computer - all that effort getting back up and oof grass stalks covering the lower third) Nice detail in #3. The little wren is lovely. I do think the background is too heavy for her though. Maybe lighten or desaturate the background.

Have you tried clicking on the thingy - rectangle with a hook - on the left of A on the right hand side of the screen. It will come up as upload attachments below your post. Click on that, choose your photos and it uploads them and you get a choice of size. Click on the size you want - I usually go large for most and in they pop. That's how I do it.

I made a comment on what you said last night and it didn't appear. So I'll make a comment that's not the same comment as last night.lol
Yep originally trying that rectangle with a hook thing.
Yep, #2 now has the tittle "Bloody grass." How can I put a smiley thing in these comments place? lol
And I understand what you're saying about the fairy-wren but it's not that important to me. These were just basically quick photos of something I haven't posted anywhere to see if the wretched ExIf between photos happened when try another way to upload.

I upload the same as what Gabby has just suggested and never had a problem like that in over 5500 posts. From your previous thread you've already tried it. I suspect it's more about the way your files are stored with the data attached. The upload is taking that as a part of the image. What software are you using to file and store? I just use windows.

      I just use windows also.
As Isac mentions below I use CS3. I resize using "Image size" and "Save as."

Good effort Mark. #1 would take a fair while to get rid of the "bloody sticks" so I'd just leave it as it's in it's natural habitat, which includes parts of the tree. #3 for me though, although the light is pretty strong for that part of late morning. With the uploading problem, Greg's asked a couple of good questions about your software. I see that you're using Photoshop CS3 on a windows system, so to help with the issues your are encountering with uploading etc, I think the way you save images and/or size them could be something to look at.

We've got a new tutorial on "UPLOADING IMAGES TO YOUR POSTS" on the main menu at the top of the forum pages. If you go to the TESTING section of the FORUM pages (the last one - bottom of page), try the instructions given and see if that helps. I hope all this helps you get better results.

      Thanks again.
See above comment to Greg's post. The way I resize and save is what most people with PS.
This is the only site that has this problem for my photos.
I think I've found a solution but an a bit reticent to post another thread as I've posted a few lately.

Good to see you've found a solution Mark. As a valued member here, you can post as many photos as you like. We love your attitude and your photos, as I'm sure other members will attest to. So POST, POST and POST some more If you need to use the TEST section for anything at all, go right ahead - that's what it's there for. Cheers.

I do the same thing Mark and work in CS3. Let's know what you come up with.

I can't see exef data on mine unless I go into properties. Do you have something running which attaches it. (Image handling program which came with the camera maybe)?

Do you mean you can't see your ExIF data after posting photos here?
If that's so then you need to get an ExIF viewer for whatever web-browsers you use (but I suspect that's not what you mean?)
I can see the data on your Little Wattlebird photo! So yours is attached the same as mine.

I can see the data before posting but not after. I've never bothered with a viewer. I try to keep things as simple as possible and if I need to know what settings some-one else has used, I'll ask.
Working...
