Thanks Mick - yes, the last one was taken through glass, under a grey sky, under a tree, at 1/80, so the softness was expected, which is why I had a bit of a play with the 'Flood' Filter

Beautiful variety of birds - lucky you. I like what you have done with the rosella shot.

Unlike Glenda I don't like what you've done with the rosella shot.
I do like the first two though. Particularly like how you managed to highlight the green of the birds body with a mostly green BG. You also got some detail in the head which can be hard to do with the red.
People should take more photos of our more common birds like magpies.Not sure about the BG on this one but the bird looks good with that eye and food.
