Have to love it when you find a co-operative bird. Was shooting a lack lustre dawn when I saw this guy land on the post. Walked back to my car, changed lenses, walked back and he was still there. Taken at Urangan Pier, Hervey Bay and he allowed me to get quite close, obviously used to the constant stream of fishermen walking by.

It's not often they hang around long enough for a lens change.

So jealous.

Would like a bit of blue in the sky to make the whites on the bird stand out more - but that's just me being picky - you can't change the background or go back and do it again in better conditions
