  • Azure Kingfisher

I took these shots while on the same walk as the Satin Flycatcher photos from the other day.

The IQ isn't as good as I would like, the lighting wasn't ideal, so the iso is up at 2000 - 3200.

If I win the Powerball on Thursday night I will have a new Nikon D4s, low light problems will be a thing of the past .

Great captures! You will probably notice a difference with your new D4s A simple shadows adjustment would give these a bit of punch. All done with Faststone Image Viewer.

Cheers Isaac. I will check out this Faststone thing.

The D4s won't make me a better photographer, but some better low light performance and a bit more DR would be a welcome thing.

I already lightened the bird using Apple Aperture and NIK Vivesa, I went as far as I could until I saw the IQ degrade.
This is what I started with,

        Nice captures Ironwood.

Lightroom is a very useful editing program too. See below.

My indecision is final, I think.

Thanks Sejac, thats a nice looking version you have done there.

I think I will eventually bite the bullet and get the Adobe CC, that will give me Lightroom as well as Photoshop.
          Cheers, Brad.
