Eastern Rosella - Platycercus eximius. Wamboin

    f/6.7 1/200 250 ISO D90 300mm x1.7TC tripod

B/G was a bit busy so I added some Gaussian Blur. Viewpoint is a bit low

Rufous Whistler - Pachycephala rufiventris. Wamboin

    D90 300mm x1.7TC tripod f/6.7 1/200 250 ISO

Horrible light and I also under exposed, so I had to boost exposure in post, which added noise.

The unfortunate low view point at least gave me a clean sky, which sadly, was bright white

Not sure whether I should clone out the branch top right?

Take what you can get and hope for a better day.

You've got beautiful birds in your area Alan and well captured too. I couldn't resist the sky thing.

That Rosella looks like it could jump right off my screen, nicely done. The Whistler is doing what he does best. Isaac, I like what you have done with that one.
      Cheers, Brad.

Thanks Ironwood. I'm semi retired with nothing much to do these days - as you can tell.

      Thanks you two

Glad you didn't resist Isac - (you are obviously aware that resistance is useless )

I know Alan. There's not much I do resist. I just love editing with PS and the hidden gems within it are mind boggling. I would consider myself a competent operator of CS6 but in reality, I'm only scratching the surface of it's power. I love working with masks. I have a penchant for restoring old photos to their former glory so masks and multiple layers do come in handy. I really appreciate your comments and humour Alan and do respect your prowess with the camera. Cheers!

          Thanks Isac.

I only scratch the surface of it too - I don't even use/understand masks

So over packing stuff today, so I thought I'd have a play as well

Both gorgeous photos Alan but would you and Isac please stop showing off your PP skills - it just makes me feel inadequate.

Nice work with a MASK Alan. How wonderful it is that we can change the weather from sunny to stormy with just a few clicks! Ah the power of the mouse and forefinger!
AND sorry P Plates, NO CAN DO. I'm feeling a little bit guilty though, because I just posted a tutorial on one of Alan's favourite tools "CONTENT AWARE" fill.
