Beaut image and yes for some reason it does require some text as well.

Does take a bit of getting used to but now I just work with it how it is. Life's too short to worry about it!

Not sure if your asking for comments or just trying to post a photo?

You have provided no info about the bird or tech details.

Colourful bird from sub-Saharan Africa and the southern Arabian Peninsula, (according to Prof Google) - something like our Dollar Bird.

It does look a bit soft, which could be crop related? Maybe a looser crop? Light is bit harsh, but not much one can do

This site takes a lot of patience to get used to - but then most Forums seems to have different ways of posting images. It was MUCH worse.

        Hang in there

No just posting a picture. I have been trying to load a picture in the competition and have saved it in photoshop and in paint as well as irfanview. but it just keeps coming back with file error. I just posted this to see if it would. I like the colours on this bird. Hans

I added an updated version for the hell of it sharpened it a bit in photoshop and reduced it more in irfanview. F10, iso 100, 1/160 Canon D60 Canon 100-400 hand held at full extension.

Beautiful bird - the colours are stunning. For 1/160 @ 400 you've done well hand held.

Agree. I wouldn't be using 100 ISO for a hand held shot. (maybe that explains the perceived softness)

I usually have mine set around 400 ISO.

You must have steadier hands them me.

The updated version does look sharper - thanks

The IS helps. I had the shutter speed set from memory. May up that a little next time I see a Lilac Roller.
              Cheers Hans
