A few Galahs and Corellas

Galahs captured with the Sigma DP2 Merrill @ 30mm with a heavy crop, this camera is outrageous at times.





Corellas with the 100/400mm, probably about 2000 birds in the flock, just a fraction of them here. Stunning sight against the blue sky.

I was wondering/hoping when we'd see some more birds photos.

Not disappointed. Beautiful colour and composition in #1, considering the heavy crop.

Cheers Alan. The rain has spread the birds far and wide, hardly had a chance to get into it. Maybe I'll get lucky in the western deserts on the way home.

Beaut light on the Galahs Mick. They are everywhere around town here but yet to get a shot of them I'm happy with.
