  • Major Mitchell, then Wedge Tail Eagle next day

Neither of them particularly great images and both need tweaks but was stoked to get them both in less than a 24 hour period, especially after quite a drought on the bird front from me.

Never seen a MM before up close, what a glorious bird!

MMs are beautiful - I'm still to see one in the wild - let alone get a photo

Congrats on getting a photo of one with the crest up

(good to see you have found some internet connectivity too)

Thanks Alan, in Coober Pedy till the morning. More rain forecast so I'm moving on. Maybe a quick look at the Painted Desert and Moon Plain then I must get on the Anne Beadell and head west.
Was hoping to spend at least a week in the PD but it's not to be. Hate to rush through such a magnificent area but I can't afford to be trapped in Coober Pedy.

This constant rain is getting to me, now on plan D. Didn't even know I had a plan D...or plan C for that matter.
