  • The Joys...

I'll have a go at 'Birding' every now and then...something to do while walking along our small stretch of the River Murray...and very slowly I'm starting to understand some of the frustrations many of you in here must face every time you venture out with the intent of capturing a particular bird/image.

I'm sortta happy with this but feel it could have been better...see below.

This is the same bird(?) about 10mins prior, and to me on a far better perch and cleaner B/ground before it decided to fly above...
Do they not understand??...sit and smile for the outta breath tog/camera!

I will continue to take the camera in the hope that eventually it will all come together.
Sorry, can't provide an ID...that's another slow learning curve.

Our feathered friends are not what you would call cooperative models, they seem intent on frustrating you to the point of madness. Are these heavily cropped, there seems to be a lot of noise and loss of detail in them, however, the subject would make me go back for another attempt, possibly a Brown Honeyeater.Stick with it Gaz,when you get "the shot ",it makes it all worthwhile.
    C+C,EDITS OK
I shoot a Canon 90D with a few bits of glass.

Birds and macro are equally frustrating to me and birds are certainly not co-operative subjects - well not the ones I see. At least you had your camera Gaz, I see heaps of great shots when walking the dogs but usually don't have a camera with me.

Looks like a young White-plumed Honeyeater.

Thanks Kev, the 1st is cropped hard and maybe too much sharpening as well...will continue to experiment while down the river...cheers.

Thanks Gabby, I'm leaving the dog home these days much to his disgust...seem to be able to get closer..Hmmm
