      Good looking bird, I looked him up but it appears I'll never get to see one around here...maybe in a few months when I head north again.

        Looks more like an Azure or Sacred Kingfisher Kevin? (except for the complete white band around the neck)

        The forest kingfisher doesn't have the orange chest,

          It's a female sacred kingfisher. Much duller in colour than the daddy bird.
