I've no idea what these are called (apart from 'Bird') but that first is an interesting looking critter...the blue markings look as though they have been painted on.

That spoonbill is an amazing shot. You definitely get better results than I do with that lens.

The Tamron is not that sharp you need to get close to the target subject, I would also recommend a Monopod with VC off even when panning hand held.

Thanks Marios. Definitely will have to start using a monopod I think. Not sure my reflexes would be quick enough to get a BIF shot with one though.
