  • Australasian Figbird (I think)

    The only bird I managed to capture on our recent few days away and this after an hours drive on dirt roads to a really ho hum dam. Not the best light, but at least he was in the open

      Sounds like you were a bit let down by birds on your trip PP.
      Must say I'm with Greg, not a bird I've seen. Would come back happy if I'd got to see or even photograph a new bird.

          Thanks guys.First time I've seen one also. Doubt there were any figs around here Greg - I think it belongs to the honeyeater family. Initially I thought it was a blue faced honeyeater until I saw it through the magnification of the big lens. Had lots of other things to shoot Jo so not too disappointed about the birds.

              Thanks Mick. Need to get out and practice bird shots more in better light - but damn it gets bright here early in summer.
